ABOUT
FADY EBEID
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters in Podiatric Medicine from Western Sydney University, Fady has been fortunate to gain experience in a broad range of podiatric specialties.
Treating high-risk patients is of a particular interest to him, and of all places to practice in this area, the highlight has to be the number of mission trips to Kenya and Tanzania where Fady volunteered at local primary care hospitals dealing with high-risk foot and wound management.
He also gained experience in treating high-risk (often diabetic) patients during an 18-month tenure at Parramatta Community Health Centre. As the principal podiatrist at the clinic, Fady had the opportunity to treat a wide range of cases, many of which involved multiple medical conditions. His experiences led him to a greater understanding of minor procedures including partial nail avulsions, preventative diabetic care, wound debridement and management.
Fady’s other special interest is in the science of movement and biomechanics. He has been fortunate enough to have worked alongside a good friend and prominent mentor in the field of biomechanics, learning the latest in biomechanical diagnosis and treatments. These skill sets include the latest in orthotic treatment, foot mobilisation, and manipulation as well as extensive massage and dry needling techniques.
Fady’s biomechanical experience ranges from treating elderly clients and assisting them with their balance and general pain, to consulting with weekend warriors and athletes, as well as assessing children with developmental issues.
